She's the only female basketball player that has the release of a male player. Notice that? Every other girl does that little elbow set into push shot form. Caitlin doesn't do that. She flows from the dribble into the shot the way men do. if girls start doing this then men will watch, which will bring more revenue to the WNBA, meaning the women will get paid more. it's that simple 🤷‍♂️

I think this a good example of the lack of parity within women's basketball at the team and individual level. Hence why players like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers stand out much more than a senior player who also contributes heavily point wise (Clark is UConn level type of talent, but hey, you can't recruit them all). It's also why UConn have dominated in the NCAA tournament - there's a drop off from the very top college teams (which are only a few) and then the lack of parity becomes even more present as you go down the rankings. Nonetheless, it's really exciting to have players like Clark who come around once in a generation.
