I met Leon in 1979. Had been a fan for several years before that. My friend & I made friends with a guy, can't remember his name, but he was always there at Leon's house in Tulsa. We used to pull in the driveway & talk to him through the intercom. Then he would open the gates &we would drive around the circular drive. I really don't know why. Guess we were hoping one day Leon would be there! The night we met him, we had gone to see him at the Brady in concert. As we were leaving we happened to see his limo. Gary Busey was with him. We followed the limo to Benni Hanna's ( spelling?) at 51st & Harvard. There we talked a bit with him & he leaned into the car window & kissed me. Needless to say, I was kinda in shock! But, here I am 38 yrs later & never forgot! Lol!

I was a young girl in the early 70s . I played his piano book daily, loved his style of singing . He clearly didn’t care about fame.

Are the photographs in the video copyrighted? I would like to save the one of him at the piano in the top hat with the star hatband to paint a picture of him. Thoughts?

What is the whole piece that this was taken from?

Pensive and playful. The eyes and mind are the main attraction. He just wanted to make his music and touch somebody. Not that deity weird thing that comes with fame. When people ask, Where did he go?" He didn’t go anywhere. He was playing his music.
