This is brilliant! As an educator I say this all the time but celebrating the activity towards the bigger goal takes it to a whole new level! It's a life lesson for me and my students. Thanks for that!

May I use this for my GED classes? They are offered to our local community free of charge through a non-profit organization.

I love this! My husband has been telling me it for years, but I haven't really put it into practice until today when I taught it to my 6-8th grade SEL class today. One question that came up is "How do we celebrate the action?" I always think of food celebrations, but if my goal is to be healthy, I can't celebrate with a treat. What are some concrete examples of celebrating yourself?

We have just been presented with an elephant. I’d heard of this one bite at a time thing multiple times over the last couple years. On the first realization of the elephant we are now confronted with my only thoughts were, we are so screwed! It felt impossible. It also felt like there were things done intentionally to insure that we fail by multiple individuals that have an interest in seeing that an individual they are in league with reclaim the property he regretted having sold us. We are up against the city government that these individuals are all part of. But as we’ve started to toss around different ideas we are realizing that there are bites that we can chew on and swallow. I am determined that these scheming sobs will not put us in the financial ruin of losing the $350, 000 we’ve already sunk into this project. One bite at a time we will get there. We are in the 98% up against the 1% this is our battle of Waterloo.
