Cannot Connect to the App Store, fix For Mac. I had this problem for awhile and came across this fix.Easy fix.

I looked and had nothing marked on my system root certificate, I tried everything listed here and nothing worked for me.what I did was to go apple website were I downloaded the older Mac OS version macOS Sierra( you don’t need App Store to install this one). Once it finish installing go to your application and open it from there, you should be able to install the mcOS, bam I was connected to the App Store, and I was able to download high sierra that I needed . Hopefully this helps someone. It seem like the issue has to do with mountain lion mcOS .

I'm getting the same issue on an old Mac Mini 2012 however when I check the certs they all look fine. I even tried a fresh install and still can't get the app store on 10.8.5. How the hell can I update it if I can't get to the app store?

Thank you. I'd been trying to connect my App Store for the last 2 days and nothing worked. And then I found this video :) Awesome. Just one plus sign on one certificate was the culprit.

Thanks Abby Purcell.  Couldn't reply to your post but your suggestion to change the location in Network Preferences worked for me.  I had to create a new location with the existing wireless settings and then change to that new location which took all of 3 minutes.

I have a problem I hope u can help me. I'm trying to download some updates on the Mac App Store. But it freezes and when I click "force to quit" appears a message below App Store that's says "web content". What can I do? Please help. I can't update any app. Thanx

Worked great for the first couple that I did, but there is one certificate that will not become "valid". Every time I go through the steps it says it has custom trust settings... any ideas?

Make sure your time and date are set correctly. Sometimes even setting your clock to wrong time and then back to correct time will work.

I'm not sure if this fix is still applicable with the latest updates (not that I'd know since I'm technologically challenged as it is) but even if it does still work, I do not have anything listed under "System Roots" in my keychain. Is that unusual? I'm having issues logging into anything that requires an Apple ID and it's driving me crazy. I do not know if it a problem with my mac, myself, or if it's because I'm currently living in a foreign country and my computer and phone are just like "f-that" despite the fact that the date and time are correct.

what if you dont have any of the plus signs and it still says cant connect?
