She's a bit on the rough side, but, mate.... Fantastic job! I am jealous. I have a 60yo Daydream 28 that I am slowly restoring. I'm sure that my woodwork will be rough too! Call it character.

Did I see a poetic plume of exhaust 💨 when you started the engine?
I understand your sense of urgency to get her back into the water. Obviously she’s not yet ready to head out to sea, but it’s a major step forward
Good luck!

Somebody really neglected this Bermuda 40. Nice to see you rebuilding it. Of course, maybe the price was right and I'm still sitting on land.

Word of advice, lock those locker lids down for rough seas!!!

I like what you’re doing but it does concern me to not see any heat shield in the engine compartment.

Seems you need a zinc on the prop nut. Peace and love.

You're going to want to change that chain to cord with a monkey's fist or ball. You're also going to want to add a remote starter button near the helm for those real oh sheep moments when you don't want to leave the helm.

I am confused. I looked at your channel and you said you bought the boat one year ago (or at least, in a video one year ago). That would be consistent with the progress I see.

I know that a nobody from the internet should not be telling someone young and with a great attitude what they should do, but the only place that boat should be sailing is to a place with better resources for it’s completion. I don’t know what your resources are, but I can tell you that Boat work is highly paid, but highly skilled. If the work you did was professional quality you would likely have a high paying job in every port around the world. That is not what I see.

Looking at the two videos I would estimate the boat you intend to put in the water is one to two tons lighter than when it came out? At least one ton under design weight? What happened to all the teak woodwork from the interior?

When I look at this video, I get the feeling, (or subtext) that you are going back in the water out of fear -that if you don’t do it soon it might not happen.
