Tauranga, New Zealand

Tauranga is the sixth biggest city in New Zealand, one of the country's premier summer time holiday destinations. Tauranga is located in the heart of the Bay of Plenty, on the eastern side of the North Island of New Zealand.

Aside from being one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, Tauranga is also the hub of trade and commerce in the Bay of Plenty, and is also home to the country's busiest sea ports.

Lived in Tauranga and the Mount in the early 90s for 2 years. Then went back to England, still miss this beautiful part of the world, made a lot of friends and still keep in touch and I watch these videos a lot. Still wonder at times why we went back to England.

Was living there from 1995-2001. Remember the late night Friday shopping, DEKA, hot mini donut guy in red square, and summers that went on and on. Good times and great memories there. I've been back a couple of times since for visits, but to be really honest, I preferred it more in the late 90s there personally....perhaps more for nostalgia reasons and feels.

My home town, left in 2003 for Australia, came back because of homesickness, visited Tauranga every few months, but Tauranga will always be my home, it's where I grew up, but now I'm a kiwi living in England.

This is awesome, really great to see it from above. I was born and raised there. Tauranga's changed so much since I left NZ 14 years ago. But it's still home and always will be. And one day I will return. I don't think there is a day that goes by where I don't think about it.

I Love Tauranga as a backpacker.. with Raglan it is my favorite city in NZ so far. Especially the Mt. Maunganui is magnificent
