Thursday Update: Weekend Winter Weather Storm Forecast

With another storm developing off the southeast coast, showers are expected to come Friday evening, but cooler air will pour into the region overnight turning the rain to a mix and eventually more snow. How much remains very uncertain at this point!

all depends on the track, arguably one of the most uncertain snowstorms in recent history for hampton roads. could get anywhere between a dusting to 10 inches

Still only down to 34 degrees at 6AM on Saturday in Virginia Beach. Think we might be looking at closer to a dusting unless more of the moisture arrives after sunrise. You can get accumulating snow at 34 or 35 degrees but it has to come down at a pretty good clip.
