Then, you hear a faint, low droning sound. It's quiet, almost unnoticeable at first but after a while it feels like it's everywhere. You look around, frustrated at this strange sound but you can't find it. You turn to your friend, but they don't appear to hear it, just smiling and walking in silence, so you just keep walking. After a while, you feel uneasy. Eyes from the dark, feelings of being threatened, an overall sense of dread. You can't see anything that could make you feel this way so you ask your friend if they feel it too. No response. You ask again, thinking they just didn't hear you. They just smile warmly. It occurs to you that they haven't spoken to you this entire time. Then, you get a text. It's from your friend. "Yo, where you at, we were meant to meet an hour ago?". Suddenly, that warm smile just ain't quite that warm anymore
