My first Sony Ericsson phone when I was a kid was W800. The first Walkman phone. That was around the same time Nokia released their XpressMusic series. Crazy how both brands are not the biggest names in smartphones in the present.

Never had a working Sony Ericsson (my family's carrier never supported them) but I always wanted one. I only heard great things about them from my friends.

I was a big fan of Sony Ericsson. The 2 things that kept me buying them were their consistent OS (All the models had familiar OS) and the interesting designs. The OS was very user friendly and super easy to use. In the home menu, I could choose by just pushing a number button as the shortcut keys.

I am using as a second phone a sony ericsson w810i, the use and the sound quality is so great, greater than from my main phone that i got in 2020

Xperia is just the phone line. They brought out Xperia mobiles when Sony and Ericsson were still together.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 was the first Xperia phone.

My last Sony Ericsson was a W200 that lasted 2 years until my mother bought me a Blackberry.

My favorite Sony Ericsson models were mostly on their final years like the W580i; the W600 I saw on MTV LATAM and one my mother had the W810 which I liked compared to my Motorola or Nokia at the time.

I use sony phones almost exclusively - had Nokia N95 8GB and Evolveo Q4.5 before I bought Xperia M4 Aqua. Now I have XZ1 and waiting for Xperia 1 IV. Longevity of those phones is insane - M4 Aqua still serves as moms daily driver.

I never knew that ericsson became xperia, I thought they were different series, I had an ericsson when I was very very young just to play games, and I plan for my phone history to start with ericsson and end with xperia

In 2009 my 3rd phone was a Sony Ericsson C902. My 1st and 2nd was a Nokia 3230 and 6288 in 2006 and 2008. Good times and great video !!

They are still the de facto in the pre iPhone era. They were successful in creating a multimedia player with the walkman series, that literally changed how people listen to music who do not want to go thought the hassle of an iPod.

W200 was the first mobile my dad bought me. Lasted me three to four years.

1:40 that phone was the BEST, i still miss it, but sadly i couldn't find another charger for it. it had SOOOO MANY GAMES that i love to play over and over again! i never got bored of it, but i don't think internet on it would work anymore tho...

I got a W810 in 2006 and it was amazing for the time. It even fell out of my pocket while riding a motorbike at 110kph and SURVIVED. I kept using it until 2011!

After my first smartphone, the iPhone 4, I decided to give Xperia a try and it was a massive disappointment. I had the Z3 in 2015 and it didn't live up to its waterproof status, letting water in the first time I put it under the tap. I had to replace several components to keep it running, but the camera was never the same again. Also, after its first major update, it had bugs all over the place, and battery life dropped substantially. Build quality wasn't anywhere near the iPhone's either, so I ended up moving back to Apple.

Fast forward to 2021, and I decided to give Android another shot, this time with Samsung. Boy was I in for a treat, still loving it to this day :)
