It's been a while, but it's finally time to check up on our favorite chicken nugget: Gerbert, the Christian VHS puppet.

Gerbert: Have you ever felt sad? I thought everyone had forgotten my birthday. It reminds me of the time David and his men returned home to find an enemy nation had attacked their town and kidnapped their wives and children. I feel just like that.

Random fun fact nobody asked for:

There’s an ep of Gerbert (Forgive and Forget) where Stu and some other kid were delivering news papers. The kid accidentally throw the news paper in Gerbert’s window and breaks his kite he was making and Gerbert blames Stu.
And he confronts Stu and Stu’s speech made me soooo sad. Stu says:

“I always get blamed for the bad stuff. I can do good stuff too, you know. Nobody cares when I do good stuff. It’s only when I do bad stuff. I know I don’t act like it, Gerbert, but I really like being your friend.”

And that’s why Stu is the best character, thank you.

Ermahgerd, mer Gerbert!

And the problem of explicitly separating the "learning time" from the "fun time" plagues edutainment as well, ugh. There's so much positive potential with both kids games and programming, but it's rarely achieved for whatever reason. At least they make for fun YouTube videos, haha.
