Good man great update as per usual. Good news in Ireland today, the first day since the 21st March that we've had no Covid related deaths. I hope Spain gets back to full health soon! Buena suerte españa! Vamos! ❤

Having lived for more than 10 years in Barcelona, I think Stuart accurately represents the culture, society, economy and politics in Spain.
Bien hecho.

Hi Stuart. I live in Totana which is a village in Murcia, we were supposed to move into phase 2 today with the rest of Murcia but last week 6 field workers were hospitalise with the virus and 45 of their immediate friends and family members were taken to a quarantine hospital in Lorca. Please be careful everyone and don't become complacent.

Hi Stuart, just wanted to say how strange the internet is as I found your channel ages ago by searching ‘living in Spain’ and now I’ve watched this series everyday and feel like I know you now hahah

I am English and have lived in Albox - Almeria for over 5 years. Today saw the bars and sidewalk cafes open there indoor tables with the necessary distance advisories, most of the retail shops also opened with restrictions. After the lock downs and the introduction of phase one last week it is good to see phase two come in. Keep up the good work Stuart, your broadcasts are always worth watching.

I would rather quarantine in marbella than rome around London with no cafes and restaurants open.

Bonjour Stuart, It seems that France, also has a tourism that suffered during the crisis, and the French authorities will do everything possible to keep the holidaymakers at home. Thank you for your information which is always very interesting.

Hola Stuart I'm a Brit and I will not go to Spain this year or until the quarantine rules have been lifted, most people take 7 day holidays in Spain from the UK so to have to spend 14 days isolating would make no sense, and don't get me started on the fact there will be no beaches to got to, I will go to any place that does not have quarantine, this is tourism suicide for Spain.

I'm traveling in Wisconsin in the U.S. for this holiday weekend and it is completely chaotic being a traveler right now. A lot of restaurants are still voluntarily closed but most that are open are still take out only but most of the employees are not wearing masks. I did go to an ice cream parlor that allowed me to eat a table inside. The beach itself is open in the largest city, Milwaukee, but not the restrooms and food concessions at the beach. But the kiosk to rent bicycles, kites, and paddle boats at the beach is open. I'm losing my mind trying to figure out what will be open and what isn't. You have to be extremely patient and flexible to travel anywhere at this time.

Hi Stuart! Any foreign tourists arriving would either be daft or into S&M. Dare to appear without a mask and prepare to pay hefty fines! Those masks will be an exceptional piece of beachwear-a dead giveaway that you were tanning in the Spanish sun! Social distancing in bars and restaurants at reduced capacities? How about social distancing in lifts and on escalators? How do you ride those, especially in places like airports and metro stations...even in hospitals? Are they also at reduced capacity? Why do we never see Sanchez or Illa wearing their mask?

hello from the netherlands. Thanks for your reporting. Life in the netherlands is clearly easier. Masks must be worn on the bus and train, where the 1.5 meters cannot be realized. The most important thing here is to keep your distance, hand hygiene. It is also advisable to go hiking or jogging or cycling, spending time in nature strengthens the immune system. This summer vacation we wanted to travel the Spanish pyrenees by camper, certainly the safest way to go on vacation. Let's see which rules the Spanish state comes up with for tourists. If there are too many rules to follow, it is not worth it to us.
Thanks for your reports.

I want to retire in Spain at least part of the year. Thank you for the updates on the current situation I plan to do el camino de Santiago for the 3rd time in Sept if everything continues well!

I would just like to know when we will be allowed on the beaches. As if there is something magical about the beaches and ocean which make viruses spread easier... These disgusting restrictions are infinitely more harmful to physical and mental well-being than any supposed virus ever could be.

Hey Stuart, thank you for the updates.
I feel the taxes for non-residents are too high in Spain when compared to other countries, and if the govt. is planning to increase the taxes further, this would make difficult for people who are willing to relocate to Spain. Cheers

The Covid control measures in Spain have been implemented more decisively and rigorously than in the UK. Having managed to “escape” lockdown in Spain to get home to Scotland in March I am now looking forward, all going well, to my return to rural Jaen province in July to “escape” the indecisive lockdown turmoil of the UK. ¡Hasta pronto!  😁
