My grandfather Bartul Krunislav Petric was born in Gornje Selo on the island of Solta on August 23, 1885. His parents were Marin and Antica. Siblings were Ante, Zepharin, Simun, Andrea, Maria Filamana, Martin and Nede. He met my grandmother, Julia Hroziencik (from Slovakia) in Chicago and they married and moved to Cupertino, California. They had four children; John, Mildred, Ann and Dorothy. They had a ranch growing fruit. My mother, Mildred, married my father, George Vierra, Sr. My wife, Bobbie and I visited Gornje Selo in 1983. My cousin, Dennis Hill, had visited a few years before. Dennis was one of the sons of Ann Petric. In 1983, my wife and I met Petric family members. I saw the bed in which my grandpa was born. We got to meet many people in Gornje Selo. The priest at the Catholic Church was very helpful and nice. We are trying to do family research online. Is there any way we can find a contact with the Petric family or the Church in Gornje Selo? We want to communicate with younger family members.
