I am a snake rescuer, and I am very happy that there's no mambas in the Western Cape. We do have a lot of Cape Cobras though, but I find handling them are quite easy. Most are quite chilled and easy to remove and relocate. Sad to hear about Graham my condolences to Kirsty, Taylor, Maddy and Rex. I lost a cousin, Hannes Viljoen to a Black Mamba in Hartebeest dam area.
