In 8th grade, we made our life plan, and I really wanted to become an engineer. Well, in 10th grade, I was really getting into art, and most of my classes were art classes. The life plan instructor came to my English class like three months in and pulled me out of class to ask if I knew what classes. She said they didn't "line up with my life plan, " and I was just like "yeah I chose the classes I wanted." lmao

The other day i was grabbing coffee. The highschool aged barista asked what i did for work and how long I'd been doing it for. I told her I'd been in my career field for 20 years.
She gasped, out loud, and said 'you must love what you do, to have done it for so long'.
