My goodness, telling someone to stop breaking the law isn’t breaking the law? I had no idea

Reminding someone not to commit a crime can never be a crime.

The better question would be "How is creating a crime to solve not a crime in and of itself?"

“Oh really? *speeds off*” the look on that guys face after being called out for being an undercover cop says it all.😂

It's a violation of your first amendment. We had a case where a guy arrested over here in West Virginia for flashing his lights on the freeway warning oncoming traffic that there was a speed trap. It was ultimately deemed that it was a form of exercising your first amendment and he won.

The internet slowly convinces me 80% of cops are out to get the average citizen instead of dangerous criminals.

When the cops don’t have our backs so we gotta look out for each other

Wow going after Uber drivers. Really keeping those streets safe. Is this why violent criminals go uncaught?

For those confused what they are trying to do. The cops are trying to get rides and urge the uber/lyft drivers to speed or do something illegal where would otherwise may not do.

WTF......

What's messed up is that even if they know it's incorrect, they can still lie to you, use evasive language, and still arrest you. You can beat the charge but you can't beat the ride

“You’re harassing me and interfering with an investigation.” Way to play the victim while victimizing people trying to make a living.

Why is it necessary for the police to do this in the first place? There's plenty of crime out there without having to Drum It Up

Instead of doing “real” investigations the police device to target these hard working individuals. How nice!

I’m the driver who always flashes their lights to let cars know there’s a cop coming up 😂

How can someone call it a crime to pick up stranded people. And be paid in legal tender for their assistance.

I knew a classmate that fell for an entrapment scheme and it was really sad.
A woman (the undercover cop) kept pestering him on the streets about selling him a laptop. He agreed to follow her to her car where the police then arrested him for attempting to purchase illegally acquired goods.
The police report stated that HE was the one bothering other civilians, and his lawyer told him that it'd be a losing case if he brought it to court.

Sadly, he now has a criminal record.

Hearing a lawyer say cap isn’t something I ever thought I’d hear

AN officer getting into a ride share car telling the driver GO FASTER, should be illegal.
As a service writer, if I told a customer how to fix their car over the phone and they take my advise and it was wrong or damaging, Myself or the company I work for could become liable just for giving advise from a professional standpoint.
So why wouldn't these officers become liable for giving bad advise from a professional standpoint?

You'd think there are enough crimes going on to not have cops making up new ones by luring ride share vehicles to help them.
