Finally, someone who doesn't say "shoot only in the golden hours" but instead, use any available light to your advantage. You forgot to mention, including the night 😉

As someone who struggles with photos that feel great in the moment but seem lacking *something* when reviewing them back at home..."thinking in sets" is a revelation. Thank you!!

Excellent advice! The advice to 'think in sets' including establishing / intro shots, life of the place, and details was particularly helpful.

What I appreciate most is that you don’t fly through your ideas. You explain them clearly and concisely. I got more from your short video that I gave from many other videos of photography. I subscribed for that reason. Thanks for such a well thought out video and excellent photography advice. I am planning a few new travel books on different cities and you just made my process more defined. Thank you kindly 🎉.

As someone has been in photography for more than a decade, I didn’t think I’d learn so much but I learned quite a lot!

I really appreciate your simplified (not simple) and useable advice. My main purpose for travel photography is to be more mindful of my experience in the moment and then, hopefully, come home with images that can re-evoke what and how I felt in that place. I will most certainly take your "3 essential tips" on every trip from now on (much lighter than taking extra gear :-)

Really good video. Practical and to the point. Not any fluff, wasted time or overly long exposition. Lots of YouTubers could learn from this.

wow! I am that kind of person who takes pictures of whatever looks/feels good in the moment, and I don't necessarily think this is a negative habit: in my case it makes me relax, be present and enjoy the process.
however, your advice about thinking in sets is eye-opening for me! I guess this is the reason why I stopped sharing my pictures online. something was always missing in comparison to other people, and now I know what it was: they actually shared their pictures in sets!

even if this new approach to photofraphy could cost me some additional effort and less relaxation, I think I can try and learn until it becomes more automatic, like a new skill you just internalize with pratice.

I really appreciate this video, grazie!

This is truly good advice. Maybe the best video about photography I have ever seen, I was not expecting that. Very rarely I watch a youtube video about photography that isn’t the same old stuff. Gratuliere. Auch sehr schöne Fotos. Danke

I am so glad that I stumbled across your channel. I’m just getting started in photography and so many beginner tutorials focus on the technical aspects that I have no hope of understanding without a bit more experience and it all just saps my enthusiasm, making the whole thing seem daunting and inaccessible.

This video (and others of yours I’ve watched since) cuts right through everything into something concrete that I can go out and actually try! Making photo sets is such a great idea and your explanation was super easy to follow. I’m already planning to go out in my home city this weekend to see what set I could make there. Even though the weather might make things a challenge, I know that I can learn so much from the attempt. Plus it’s good practice for the real test when I go on holiday in May 😊

Thank you so much and looking forward to your future videos!

This is the most interesting and best approach to travel photography that I have heard. I would love to find out about the camera you use.
