Taiwan earthquake leaves tall building on dangerous lean

The Yun Men Tsui Ti block of flats near Taiwan’s east coast has been left leaning at a dangerous angle after a 6.4-magnitude earthquake on Tuesday night. At least four people were killed and more than 170 remain unaccounted for in the area

Taiwan implemented stricter building code since its last major earthquake in 1999. Those collapsed buildings look like they were built before 25 years ago.

Look like building Structures have been cutting corners. As compare to Japan which have a much greater earthquake compare to Taiwan, their damage was minimal. It show that Taiwanese have little discipline on their architectural work. There are Many Tofu building and bridges in taiwan
