John Bercow on MPs' safety concerns

POLICE were alerted after an aggressive far-right mob branded a pro-EU Tory MP a “Nazi” outside Parliament.

Protesters could be chanting the vile abuse at former Cabinet minister Anna Soubry as she was interviewed by the BBC live on air yesterday.

The MP - who is calling for another referendum - described the sick abuse as "seriously worrying".

The Met Police confirmed they are investigating the abuse after more than 50 MPs called for protection...

The politians should pay for they're own protection. They don't provide protection for the rest of the population, never see a policeman in my area, so why should the mp's get a police escort paid for by the taxpayer. I don't like to see women of any background get abuse, so don't agree that Anna Soubry should get any type of abuse, so they should really increase the police presence on the streets, I think that's fair.

Just look at Parliament, they don't give a sod about what the British public feel or want, worry not there not to upset to fill in their expenses.

Real world the Police don't turn up to break in's, let alone somebody saying boo to you in the street.

I'm amazed at this man's pomposity ....he acts as if he's a minder of a bunch of morons(which some of them are) and he's some divine entity who knows best .he loves the sound of his own voice and goes on and on ad nauseum.perhaps he's a henpecked husband whose wife towers over him and cuts him short in the interviews
