You need to add butter to the peanut butter. Then you have yourself a fantastic sandwich. Used to make this back in the 70's after little bit of partying 🤪. Good times

Here's a little tip, To elevate your french toast into gourmet, Add about a short glass of triple sec to the eggwash. No milk, but you can put in a little bit of cinnamon. You'll never try it another way again.. Enjoy.

At our house French toast has cinnamon on it.
I top it with peanut butter and light Karo syrup but if I was going to make it with peanut butter and jelly I would mix them together, the best way to make peanut butter and jelly, before putting them on the bread..completely changes the flavor

What kind of bread are you using??? That's way too thick for me, I'd never get it on my mouth.

As a very dedicated PB&Jer, I REALLY want to try making this. I'm awful at french toast - it never gets crispy, just soggy egg bread.
What do I do wrong???
