Operating temperatures.

Butane becomes useless at 5c and below because it fails to vapourise properly at such low temperatures, and you'll notice this with a sluggish yellow flame plus possible soot, but at normal temperature with butane, you'll get a nice blue flame and just a very slight triangular yellow tip at the top of the flame, especially on the grill and the oven burners, on an LPG ready cooker or correctly converted-to-LPG appliance.

Propane is better as it goes down to -45c and has more heat output than butane gas, and you get a predominantly blue flame on the top burners and the oven / grill burners.

Both are LGP? I’m from Mexico and LGP is a combination of both in only one single gas. Is same on the US or why are these 2 separated?
