Me and my 2 other friends onvalstrax release immediatly went to fight him, all goes well, we get his tail off and he leaves the zone. So we all collectively start carving the tail. What we didnt notice was that he didnt leave the zone, it was his ambush animation, anf the warning popped up as we started carving.

We all died and immediatly faiked the quest

For the record, if the ambush is targeted against another monster, you actually take no damage from it. It's your invitation to go wild. It's basically a turf war which he always wins.

A friend and I were fighting that really difficult magnamalo (which ppl compare to demo maggie) and as he was doing his ultimate we got the notif of an ambush and we were legit panicking and yelling I DONT KNOW WHAT DOO AAAA. Thankfully we survived both attacks 😂😭

I kinda wish that for one, the game wouldnt warn players so they had to keep their ears open and eyes peeled, but also that this wouldnt p much always result in free wyvern rides

You can actually dodge that attack by going up as high as you can with wire bugs and jumping at the last moment before it lands.

Man the ambush indicator should not have been there. Part of the fun of valtrax in generations was tryna figure out if he was gonna do the comet or just leave the area. Less hand holding the better.
