Master system 2 was the first console i played on. My dad bought me ( 4 yr old) and older brothers this and my mind was blown away, i couldnt get off it lol.

What a blast from the past, I got the Sega master system 2 after the atari 2600. The jump was huge! I loved Alex kid in miracle world and alot of the games you mentioned. Back then you had this excitement feeling of what games were coming out and couldn't wait to read the monthly magazine.

Forgot to drop a comment here. I wanted to say I'm glad there's a Sega Head tie-in to this showcase because he's totally always my go-to when it comes to anything SMS.
Enjoyed the unboxing of the console; such a magical moment to see everything all packed away in place.

My first console too, still got mine from when I was 3 years old along with all the ultra-hard games like the Ninja and Operation Wolf that I've barely even got off the first level on! haha =)

To this very day Mike, the most amazing retro console for me that still does well even if its well past it's prime is the Master System. I'm still in disbelief how it's continuing in Brazil and in 2016, Tectoy sold over 8 million units. WOW!

I'm more impressed than the Neo-Geo's lifespan. And that tells you plenty. 8^)

Always good to see the love of the fans for the SMS. I wish you had picked a few (certainly more than 3) that you liked and talked a bit more, showed a bit more. There are so many games we didn't get to play, and as far as names go, any ROM collection will have those same names. I mean, if I hear from another fan that game X is special for a reason, I may actually load it up, try it, and maybe add it to my collection later.

Once again I find myself in awe of your collection. I have both the MS1 and 2 consoles, but only 8 games for them so far. I had a NES when I was a kid instead of the Master System, and only recently picked up the Master systems. I'm led to believe Sonic 1 on the master system is quite different to on the Mega Drive, and a lot of people even suggest it is superior.

Great collection. Great video. I love the Master System; it was my first console. I have a soft spot for the crappy box art on the early games and am planning to get the complete set of them. I made a video about them a little while back an am hoping to do another update in the near future when I've got a few more.

It was my first real console after the C64 we had at home. It was the Master System 2 and I had about twelve games as a preteen kid (Shinobi, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Sonic 1&2, Golden Axe, Golden Axe Warrior, Dragon Crystal, Miracle Warriors, Super Tennis, Heroes of the Lance and Populous). Currently I use a Master System 1, mostly for the RGB. Have a full set of games from The Netherlands. Not all of them include the manual and box, but most do. Great system. I use the controllers for my PAL SC-3000H too.

Psychic world and Golvellious are some must grab and not too expensive.
I prefer SMS Castle of Illusion.
Some really great games on the system. So glad I started collecting for it a few years ago.

The master system was a huge sales success in Brazil, it was the country that sold the most. tec toy released several games for him, including street fighter. I have a master system 3 collection with 105 games in memory and cartridge slot, from the year 2005. Until today it is sold here in Brazil, however, without cartridge slot. His games are more beautiful and colorful compared to the NES.
