Had a H2N for years and it’s super portable, works outside and can double up as a digital mic - also has tuner. Will record ‘native’ in MId/Side if that’s your bag too.

One of the perks of the H6 that none of the other recorders have for DSLR or Videographers is the angled view of the audio levels. That is so helpful. Also, if you want to recorded surround sound with external mics, none of the other recorders can give you that many channels for inputs.

i have a zoom h2 -- an older model. i have used the other models, but i always come back to my good ole h2. for me it's simply the best. easy to operate and excellent sound quality.

I'm sold on the H6. I need a multitrack recorder for all my synths and other electronic music gear so I can edit each instrument individually after playing live, so it's perfect for my use; it'll even save me a lot of money because multitrack mixers are super expensive. Thanks!

After many years and many recorders, I bought a Sound Devices MixPre 3. I’ve had it now for a year. The super quiet pre amps and the analogue limiters makes it super easy to use. If you don’t nail the levels, you’re fine. The power options are really fantastic.

Great video. everything perfectly described. I bought Zoom H2N last year (+ accessory) and I am fully satisfied with the recording in the exterior. Quality stereo sound. The ability to switch microphones and characteristics or the number of tracks. I also use Zoom H2N as a USB microphone for notebook.
