I really wanted Benny to get revenge for Johnny in the third act, but I understand it isn’t that kind of film.

The performances are great, I think Tom Hardy was spot on as always. They story is based on a book and thus though violent in a way it lacks some near seat sitting experience. It felt relaxed most of the time with few plot twists. It fails a bit to make you empathize with any of the characters until may be the ending...**no spoilers*. It's a good movie I recommend watching alone with all your attention. You can easily dislike it.

It does fall short of being a truly great movie, and despite a lot of people claiming that they were bored or that it felt like it took forever, I honestly wish it had been a little longer. I would have really loved to see the characters and perhaps the Vandals themselves fleshed out a bit more.

This movie looks awesome -- beautiful shots, authentic sets, cool bikes. Some of the shots directly mirror the photography counterparts from the book, which I really appreciate and love. The soundtrack is also spectacular, and there's a wonderful feel to the movie -- a vibe, aesthetic, atmosphere, whichever word you want to choose. It was a really good movie theater experience, in my opinion.

"The Bikeriders" is an electrifying journey into the heart of 1960s biker culture! Jeff Nichols masterfully captures the gritty essence of an outlaw motorcycle club's evolution from a band of misfits to a formidable crime syndicate. Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and Tom Hardy deliver powerhouse performances, breathing life into complex characters that stay with you long after the credits roll. The cinematography by Adam Stone vividly brings the era to life, and David Wingo's score perfectly complements the film's raw energy. If you love crime dramas with depth and intensity, this film is an absolute must-see. Highly recommended!

Went to see the Bike Riders on Sunday June the 23rd and I loved it. Tom Hardy, Austin Butler and the rest of the exceptional cast was brought to life by the narration of a girlfriend, who became a wife. The story was entertaining and very thought provoking. The action and the antics of the members was on point and made sense, in every way.
The ending was exactly what I thought it would be and I understood everything. You will have to see it to make your own decision about the ending. I think it is a movie worth seeing, for the young, old and the young at heart

Tom Hardy brilliantly brings just the right amount of Brando gravitas to Johnny and creates an authentic and somewhat tragic character. And you just can’t take your eyes off of Austin Butler’s Benny. You instantly understand why Kathy hopped on the back of his Harley and never wanted to get off. But it’s not just his beauty. No one has ever said more without saying anything. A skill most actors rarely achieve. A supernova has been launched and I can’t wait to see what he does next. To tie it all together, Jodie Comer gives a tour de force performance as Kathy, Benny’s wife and de facto story narrator. She goes toe to toe with Hardy and blows it away. Riveting to watch. The supporting cast is also excellent. This is an adult movie with some tough scenes and themes. But there’s also humor and humanity on full display.

My Father, Jim”Flash”Miteff was a founding member of the Detroit chapter of the Outlaws MC, and also photographed many of the same members seen in the film as he joined the club in 1965 when I was six years old. I remember those years so it held some special significance for me. I think they did a good job portraying the lifestyle and it hit on the various elements of the biker culture without getting too serious. Great for a wider audience of a more modern generation. I give it a 7/10 and recommend it for sure.

In addition to being beautifully shot, The Bikeriders is led by three impressive turns by Butler, Comer and Hardy. Their acting is so captivating that Nichols is content to keep the camera still to capture their performances. As such, the movie’s dueling approaches were occasionally at odds with each other. On the one hand, it is focused on capturing a moment in time in a very stylized way. On the other hand, it also wants to be a laid-back indie drama with character-driven performances. Nichols gets this combination to work for most of the movie, which perfectly epitomizes the freewheeling spirit of his subject matter. The movie loses some momentum during the latter third, when events take a dark turn and violence poisons the club. Fortunately, Nichols brings things to a close in a way that left me admiring the deadpanned irony of it all. I definitely enjoyed The Bikeriders. Like its namesake characters, it's engaging, funny, eccentric, revealing and unexpected. Recommended.

This is not the film, I suspect, most with be anticipating. It's not a "let it rip" Hells Angels extravaganza but far more about individuals, their expectations of life and others and how often things don't work out as you want or intend. For me, it was all the more interesting because of that.

It captures the 60s US biker era beautifully. While pretty much all of the peformances are top notch, I, personally, found Jody Comer's performance and, especially, her accent to be affected and irritating (even if it does reflect the actual accent of the real woman she's playing). Its all the more grating next to Austin Butler who, yet again, just dissapears into his character of Benny, where no moment seems forced or "actorish". I also loved Tom Hardy's Johnnie. All the supporting cast are excellent.

Truly, bikers are special people who live a great deal of freedom. Outlaws and outlaw communities with a special charisma. This film is a kind of origin story for a biker club. It did not ignore aggression and lesser violence (men fighting, fists, or knives) from the beginning with the culture, but it He also explained that at least the outlaws (the saboteurs in the film) didn't start out as drug-dealing, gun-toting killers.

For me the film got into high gear with tom hardys unpredictable nature, that grows with his concern of what the clan have became in years gone by and how it goes forward.

The side characters have a massive roll in the perspective of the outlaws and what it means to them to be part of their community.

Its soundtrack and nose levels when the gang are out on the bikes echo inside your seats. Only heightening the level of intensity of its character and menace to what others perceived as.

Amazing actors, with mesmerizing performances by Tom Hardy, Austin Butler and Jodie Comer. Both Comer and Hardy are from the UK, but nailed the Chicago/LaGrange, IL accent to a tee. My only negative was they did not build into the story line more about the Harleys and Club Culture it would have been easy to do. Also was hoping to see more from Norman Reedus and Micheal Shannon as their parts were pretty small. Shannon is world class actor as are so many of the others. Hardy and Comer were off the charts excellent. I highly recommend the movie, especially, if you are a Bikerider.

This was an enjoyable movie where you can smell the gas and oil that surrounds the characters.
Jodie Cormer plays our narrator and is wife to Austin Butler who aces being a modern day James Dean. He was built for his role in this movie. Tom Hardy shines and gives a Marlon Brando-esque performance that made me enjoy every scene he was in.

Some good money was spent on this production, location, costume design, cars and bikes ..A+ in those departments.
It's not short, but It could have dove into more about how the club grew in the early years, how they recruited guys, why they recruited, how they patched over other clubs.. I mean there's no mention/portrayal about any of that, much less "hang arounds" or prospects. It's dudes walking into the "clubhouse" and asking to become vandals..which maybe happened once?
I think it should have been narrated a bit by "Bennie" as well. I think his character could have verbally added in the missing links, drugs, guns, violence, money, rival mc's. A little action would have gone a long way in the "entertainment" department.
it's all narrated by "Kathy", but I never read the book so maybe she's the centerpiece of that and they stayed true to it.

I’m confused on how the kid became the leader when he was just a coward

If Benny were the one to take the role as the leader in the end then he would’ve died and not got the chance to have a good peaceful life.

This was "watchable" movie but not a great one. This fictional history of a Chicago based biker gang was rather thin on plot or character development IMHO although there were some good performances.
