When Anwar Sadat visited Israel | Turning Point

In 1977 Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, a once-sworn enemy of Israel, made history by becoming the first Arab leader to step foot in Israel.

Just four years earlier, Egypt, along with Syria, led a surprise attack on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. That attack regained Egypt’s honour after the Sinai peninsula was captured by Israel in 1967.

The visit paved the way for an agreement between Egypt and Israel. However, the deal was negotiated without Palestinian representation and left them feeling gravely betrayed.

What a shameless leader he was. Making peace with people who are oppressing his brothers and sisters. May Allah give that kind of leaders what they deserve for abandoning Palestine

He wasn't a traitor, But he had the upper Hand over the Occupation He went for negotiations and invited arab countries but they saw him as a traitor at the time.
He knew that any other war with occupation wouldn't be on the Arab's side, because of Western full support to Isreal. As during the October War of 1973, the USA sent military support to Israel the largest since WW2.
And this Peace is what kept zionist dreams of greater Israel a dream. And if all other arab countries followed Sadat, they would have gained a lot better than the Abrahamic agreement that they signed for a weak outcome.
Like Morroco to recognise western Sahara as part of Morroco.
Or Sudan to remove it from the list of terrorism supporters
or UAE to get USA support against Iran Threats.
But what Egypt Gained is much more Greater.
Egypt made peace while still standing up for Palestinian rights, and returned each cm of their land. Build its economy and thier country.

"illegally captured during the Six Day War" do you know who was responsible for that war? Egypt & the other Arab states waged war on Israel. Israel didn't conquer those territories for the sake of conquest & expansion -- they conquered those territories as a byproduct of war. Think about how the Allies "conquered" German territory at the end of WW2. You wouldn't call that "illegal conquest, " would you?

And guess what? After the war ended, Israel returned the Sinai peninsula right back to Egypt!

False History In both 6 day war and Yom Kippur war Israel was defending... The territories are captured after defeating the attacking side was leveraged for peace with narrated a narrow story of the two

All holy books acknowledge that the desert god gave the jews their promised land Israel. Anyone taking their religion seriously knows this.
