React Native Firebase | Install Firebase React Native Tutorial

How to use firebase in react native, including installing firebase for android and iOS. In this video, we will see how React Native is configured to use the latest react-native-firebase version 6 library, as the version 5 library recently was upgraded.

We will set up the baseline for getting react native firebase install working in an example with a new application for react native as well as an existing one. This will include setting up the dependencies and logging into google firebase console to add a new project, creating the settings for apple iPhone and android systems.

This will be the first video in a series about React Firebase where we install and test out different features. In the next videos, we will take a look at react native firebase analytics.

At 09:00 into your video, I think I matched my new react native firebase app to your's. I created it in the same way that you did. But I dont see the single use data show up in the firebase console. It still shows "Waiting for Analytics data...". What can wrong?

Ensure you have:

1) imported the module in your
'MainApplication.java' file.

2) Added the 'new line inside of the RN 'getPackages()'

Great video! I just followed yours steps and works fine on iOS, the Firebase console recognize the app right away! On Android the apps launched normally but the Firese console does not recognize the app!! Seems that in yout Video the same thing happens, could you help me with this? tkss

when you use react-native application you dont chose android or ios. you should chose web. It says when I chose android it gives me java options

Hello, A Question: Why you change the project when doing with Ios? we integrated "reactnativefirebase " but when doing with Ios you've changed the project to "nfcexample", why not continuing with old "reactnativefirebase"

Hey Adrian I just started using React Native, coming from React. I have one question for you: can I use Firebase the way you did, with a project created with the Expo CLI? I ask that because the Android folder you go to is not there with a project made with Expo and I'm pretty much stuck. xD



Help pls.
