Full-scale Sierra Space inflatable habitat explained - Watch it burst in test!

Sierra Space has conducted stress test of a full-scale inflatable space habitat. It exceeded NASA's safety levels by 27 percent, according to a release from Sierra Space.

Допустим, там будет какой-нибудь каучук, который будет каким-то образом закрывать отверстие после попадания каких-то с высокоскоростных космических микро объектов. Так же туда можно поставить множество датчиков, чтобы они отслеживали целостность оболочки в разных секторах этого модуля. Если оболочка изношена, они предупредят, что модуль пора утилизировать.

Внутри этих штук должны работать роботы. Отличная мини-лаборатория или мини-фабрика. Особенно когда будут десятки таких надувных модулей на основе какой-то твёрдой несущей срединной модульной опоры. "Грозди винограда 🍇 на единой основе." там можно будет разместить огромное производство чего-либо разбросав по модулям производственные узлы. Конечно, я понимаю, что там не будут огромные объёмы производства, но уникальные товары в условиях микро-гравитации можно производить. И вполне возможно там либо совсем не будет людей, либо их будет человек 5. Люди очень требовательны к системам жизнеобеспечения станции, а роботы нет.
