Dear Students,
Please, either post your feedbacks, comments and questions here or send them to me by email.
To start with comments, I think it may not have been appropriate enough to try to describe the 'vernal equinox' as the point where the ecliptic plane of the Earth 'coincides' with the Earth's equatorial plane. The more appropriate word seems to me to be 'intersects' as the word coincide (in the context in which it might be implied in the video) might convey the meaning that at some point the obliquity of the Earth would be zero. Now, I have been trying quite hard to picture how this might be possible at anytime. However, it seems appropriate to describe the 'vernal equinox LINE' as the imaginary line on which the ecliptic and the equatorial planes of the Earth coincide as they actually intersect and coincide on this line.
Let me know what you think.
