Really appreciate you taking the time to show each rev of FSD. Even though I have FSD on my own 2021 Model S, I enjoy watching your take. I am pretty impressed with the rate of progress. However, just observing the rate of change and thinking about all the various issues and regressions that need to be solved, IMHO it's at least 2-3 years away from being something that could be trusted... Right now, it's like driving with a teenager with a learning permit, because you can never quite trust it, but teenagers learn faster...

Excellent informative and disciplined review. As a Model Y driver on FSD 10.8.1 I shiver with an-tici-pation for 10.9. I too also challenge my FSD as much as possible with scenarios that are not so typical. Thank you

Thanks for the updates. Been waiting for my FSD Beta download for my 2019 Model S. Have had safety Score of 99 for a while.

Thank you for this tutorial/documentary. My downloads seem to be later than the rest; so, I get some video training as I wait. My wife also watches; so, she knows about the video upload/complaint icon and is not timid about registering incident displeasure.

Great point you make, that FSD needs to bias toward the inside of turns.

Thanks for keeping your hand on the steering wheel and for intervening. I'm on the production version of AP, waiting for an opportunity to try fsd beta for myself. It's interesting that you say that phantom breaking is happening. On the AP production version, I've seen a significant reduction in phantom braking incidents and severity.

Love your videos with northern New Jersey in the winter. I grew up just west of Philly, and landscape is very similar...makes me homesick for the NE! The really big FSD test, for me, is when I can turn on autopilot at the 30th street station in Philadelphia and navigate without intervention to Penn Station (34th street and 7th avenue) Manhattan.

I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for always being so informative and straight to the point. I hope to see some more city/dense urban driving if possible.

I'm sure others have also suggested this idea, but... any thoughts on creating a Patreon page? Your content never misses- always top-tier quality with no fluff. My go-to resource for FSD Beta patches and other Tesla developments. Would love to support the work you put into providing this experience for us all. Just lemme know when and where to sign up, and I can assure you I won't be the only one to hop on that. Thanks for doing all you do.

Nice video! Strange that FSD doesn’t bias to the inside of a turn. I learned to do this in driver’s ed in 1972. You made it through the S-curves without phantom turn signals, which is an improvement, but it seems like turn signals were late when you wanted them. Overall, confidence level is still only medium. I still see FSD as something I’d use once I clear the city and suburbs and then want to relax and enjoy the scenery on the freeway (eg, at Mile 17 out of Seattle east on I-90).

Excellent video, I’m not comfortable with how close the car gets to driver side barriers. The yoke seems hard to control if you need to take over.

“You’ll have to lose to me another time.” HA HA ! LOL !! I think you are a bit more picky about FSD than I would be. But I do like to hear all the shortcomings you find. Fantastic car!!!
