I'm a democrat in Kansas and my presidential vote has never counted in the state. I wish we could do what Nebraska and Maine do with their electoral vote. Thank you to Sen. McDonnell for sticking to his guns and his ethics. I wish more republicans were like him.

As someone who grew up in Nebraska, I can't say I'm completely surprised by this. They're not whichever-way-the-wind-blows republicans. Their values stay consistent. Nebraska republicans aren't generally extreme right and the democrats are not generally extreme left. I'm sure someone can name a couple of exceptions.
