Sitting here at work in tears 😭 Every man that has ever been in my life has never fought for me, including my ex husband of 12 yrs. I have yet to know what being loved unconditionally means. This song goes SO hard bc being a single mom of 2, I often feel discouraged from working long hours to provide for my boys and it hurts that I don’t have all the time I want with them. Every time the enemy attacks me with feeling lonely, like a failure, unworthy or unlovable, I remember this song and how my Heavenly Father has never stopped fighting for me and He loved me so much that He was willing to hang on a cross for me. Even if I never get to know love in this life, I’m comforted by the fact that what greater love is there than the the One who was willing to die for me?

Even when we have our back against the Red Sea and Pharaoh's army is charging after us with all of their might, HE will part the Red Sea so we can walk through. Amen. But throughout these past few years I've had so many of my youth leaders fight for me. This song strikes a burning passion inside of me that we need to fight for our upcoming generation. I honestly don’t know where he is spiritually but I hope he has restored his relationship with God and even if he hasn’t, I can see, understand and empathize his fall… why? Because I see myself in the mirror. I know my struggles, back steps, self sabotage ways… I still enjoy listening to this song with my son.
