The encryption implementation we presented and proposed in the context of the ARMOR project can be demonstrated with this prototype implementation setup through which what we can practically show is this:
This laptop conveys continuously data to our FPGA based implementation which implement the data encryption, as a real sensor would create and convey data.
Consequently, in real time, our FGPA platform encrypt the received data and sends the cipher text to the radio chip seen here which in turn forms a Bluetooth based wireless connection with the laptop on right side which acts as the data aggregator and shows the corresponding encrypted data.
Using this prototype setup we can evaluate the performance and validity of our implementation and thus we are able to identify and correct possible mistakes and of course further improve our implementation as possible.
 
In the specific demonstration, we will present compression of real EEG data using one of the proposed algorithms, which as it is executed we see in the upper part of the figure how the compression rate evolves with time, thus we can see how percentage by which the amount of data is actually reduced which effectively we will have to transmit wirelessly after the completion of the compression process.
When the process is completed the most important metric we focus on is the final achieved compression rate which is this specific scenario is approximately 70%.
