Oh, yes, I HAVE bought all this stuff and my sister told me to stop being a “paint supply junkie” and start creating.

Peter, you have a valid point regarding hesitation. I try to view the action of painting as an adventure, since I it’s easily discover how time flies once the brush hits the paper, losing myself in the wonder of color and wash.

A simple composition (like the one created in this video!) with tonal contrast and balance is so much more appealing than "visual gibberish"! But keeping a painting simple is a challenge and the mark of a true artist.

Great video for watercolor beginners! I'm a watercolor artist and an illustrator and I agree with your tips! I would add that for a begginer, paints and brushes are not so important... they can be the ones for school.. Most important thing is to just sit or stand and just start painting!
