Ray tracing. An AMAZING step for minecraft BUT seeing 1:11, the way the sun sets. The way the night engulfs the land and the torches light up the world. It brings me back to the simple times of minecraft and personally I see ray tracing as a showcase of what minecraft can do and what it could become. But as I said a SHOWCASE. In my opinion I don’t think RTX will take over minecraft. It will be hype until the beta ends but I can’t see myself swapping my childhood for some fancy shadows. I love it but it’s just not home.

I was excited to try it out but that was short lived because I couldn't use it openly on any world, I know it's just barely new to beta but the beta version is behind 1.15 I think is was and I'm limited to only those 6 premade world's it came with. Disappoinment came shortly after sad to say but holding onto hope it is made available to all world's very soon.

I'm just waiting for the day when Mojang updates Minecraft Java to utilize all the cores in your CPU, maybe even a bit of your GPU as well.
