I Kickstarted this as a future Christmas present for my wife. She has been getting into all the cooking shows popping up on Netflix lately and this fits right into that. Thank you for the run through and really making me feel good about this purchase!

I love this theming. Cooking is a treasure trove of possibilities and I still think fusing the theme with an S.O.S. Titanic-styled book would work well. It would be a cookbook with recipes (Mage Wars?) or a menu that shows breakfast, lunch and dinner as three playable phases.

If I were a designer, I would get on the ball with that. Someone, do it! lol

house rules put every thing in to the main deck select 3 judges thees are the starting judges as they come up replace the old judges from the ones that are shipped in place them in the fridge.

Can you use as much salt as you want in a dish? That seemed silly and I immediately thought of house ruling it to 1/meal or maybe 1/meal plus 1/sugary ingredient. But this looks like a fun game I could surprise a certain girl with.. (we both like cooking shows and eating :).

The factions mechanic reminds me of Star Realms, but this is much more expensive...hmmm, still hesitating.

Otherwise, in 2 players game, at least you will have ideas about what to buy next turn. But I guess if there are 3 or 4 players, the game will shift even faster...right?
