"Today, we take a look at the amazing story of Admiral Yi Sun-shin, one of the most outstanding naval commanders in history and a respected hero in Korea.

In the late 1500s, during the Imjin War, Japan launched a massive invasion of Korea. The outnumbered and undersupplied general was tasked with the difficult task of defending his country. And he achieved remarkable success by using innovative tactics and an unbreakable spirit.

One of his biggest achievements was to invent and deploy the Turtle Ship, a revolutionary armored ship designed for close-up combat. The ship had boards on all sides and pointed roofs to block cannons, giving it an unrivaled advantage over the Japanese fleet.

Despite facing overwhelming odds, Yi has never been defeated. In the Battle of Myeongnyang, consisting of more than 300 Japanese ships and only 13 ships, Yi led an outnumbered force to sink or neutralize over 30 enemy ships without losing any of his ships, achieving a historic victory.

In the final moments of the Noryang naval battle, Lee continued to lead his troops to victory. His last words, "Don't give word of my death," were testament to his dedication, allowing his men to keep fighting unimpeded.

If you look at Noryang, which made his achievements into a movie, you can see the historical record of Yi Sun-shin
