Ningguang is an amazing BURST DPS Character in Genshin Impact. She can be used as both a main DPS Carry, as well as a Burst DPS Support and will find a place in any of your team. Originally meant to be a 5 star character, this 4 star powerhouse has one of the best toolkit of any catalyst users in the game, and with the recent buffs to Geo, shes is even more OP than ever!

I totally agree that Ning was supposed to be a 5* originally. I mean did you see her cutscene in the liyue story quest? I mean c'mon

She's definitely a 5* but Mihoyo showed us mercy so they released her as 4* star.. Lore wise Ningguang is 5 star and also gameplay.

I honestly thought Ningguang was a 5*, as her design gave off a very luxurious vibe. Being the head of Liyue, I thought she would be on par with Jean. It’s cool that she’s a 4*, but she honestly gives me 5* vibes based on her story and design :3

As a Ning main, I would just like to add. While it's true it's a must to hold a direction button when doing her normal attacks, when doing charged attacks, you need to release that direction button, or else, she'll freeze in place for a second or two until you press the attack button again.

Everyone says “just hold W and auto attack when playing Ning” and I’m just crying because mobile

Ning's C2 also takes effect when you use your Burst with the Jade Screen out. After the burst animation the Jade Screen is ready to be summoned immediately. Because of that, my go-to is usually: Jade Screen > pass through > Burst > Jade Screen > Charge attack, etc

Ningguang's damage output is insane.

She really deserves the 5* rank though, even if we're all glad she's a 4*, she's the fcking Brain of the Liyue Qixing, and even Ganyu is taking direct orders from her

This guide is fairly accurate, however, the beginning animations are super inflated and deceptive to most players. For one, a high, non-trivial % of geo damage is coming from Albedo, not Ningguang - it makes her look a lot better than she actually is. Albedo is by far and away her best geo teammate - the others don't replace what he can do. Two, the weapon is inflating her damage output. 4* weapons just don't deal this kind of damage. I think these should be heavily called out just so people don't get the wrong impression and become disappointed when they build her, because most people will not be doing this kind of damage - it's going to be much worse. Also, geo % buff in abyss has ended too I think, so that kind of damage in abyss is not even possible anymore.

The saddest part about my Ning is that she is lvl 80/90 and still underperforms because her artifacts suck.

two thing to tip for her c2 also, if u use her ult while the E is up, and the screen is "consumed" it resets as if it shattered.
however the screen u get from the reset will only generate energy particles after the 6sec cooldown on her c2 is done, idk if thats a bug or intentional but i thought its worth pointing out :)

At first I was disappointed that I got Ningguang, but now *yes*
