Around the 1 minute mark, I completely agree with that, it is so easy to get lost in the 'let me get this sound just right' step and then by that time you have lost the 'idea' you may have initially have. nexus 2 is nice in that having that pre-ready sound can help you get that idea out and then later go back and work on the sound if it's not 'perfect'. I also enjoy sometimes just hitting record and playing out with no thought process beforehand, you can then go back and essentially pull out the ideas from within that. I like to think of it is 'musical dreaming' in that at the point in time you don't specifically play to directly memorize those sections. Hope that makes sense haha. Anyway thank you for this video and consider me subbed! Shame I just saw this vid. over a year later.

Just as there are styles available in keyboards, do you get different styles for Nexus as well? Like disco, pop, etc Beats?

How would you compare Nexus with Avenger for "mix ready sounds? They're a similar price and Avenger also has expansions as well as being a beast of a synth.

Hi. I‘m about to buy reFx Nexus 2 but I‘m afraid because I don‘t know if there will be a free upgrade if at some times version 3 comes out. Do you know if you will have to pay for it? How was it from Nexus 1 to 2? Did you have to pay?
