FILM DESCRIPTION:
In 1967 Los Angeles, widowed mother Alice Zander (Elizabeth Reaser) unwittingly invites authentic evil into her home by adding a new stunt to bolster her séance scam business. When the merciless spirit overtakes her youngest daughter Doris (Lulu Wilson), the small family must confront unthinkable fears to save her and send her possessor back to the other side.

The scary thing about this is that the demon is pretending to be the dead father, and later on the demon started bringing harm to the Zander family and possessing Doris.

The grief and fear of the older sister and mom are so believable, that's what makes the scene rich... very good acting from those two. And the young girl is not bad at all for her age. In fact, she would be "flawless" too if her approach to this scene had portrayed her understanding and relating to how bizarre the revelation of the paranormal stuff and connection is to her mom and sister, while at the same time showing her choice to be bold but contemplative as she pushes through a natural awkwardness of the situation, for the sake of making this important revelation and bringing assurance to her mom and sis... that type of thing.

I was actually expecting something scary or horrible to happen to one of them but this is all just about the little girl wanting to talk to her dad through the Ouija board

The little girl was able to read the spirits minds! Their were different spirit in that house and she was not talking to her dad, but other spirits, because the portal to the spirit world was open and she welcomed in all different types of spirits (mostly bad ones)....The mother forget to close portal because she just walked off and the little girl touched the board and the spirit got on her!
