I can’t believe it took me YEARS to realize that her real name is not Lotte Kestner, but it is a stage name that pays tribute Erich Kästner and his infamous book “Das doppelte Lottchen”.... that’s my favorite childhood

Dear god, I found this song on the youtube side bar years ago and clicked both because of the aesthetic thumbnail and because of the raw simplicity of the title. Loved it. Then forgot about it because it was buried deep down in my favorites and now I found it again and feel like I'm instantly put in a 2012's mood. Nostalgia

I really like this song! And I so know this feeling.
But in my opinion, this is nothing about love. True love. It is about wanting somebody else to complete one. About attachment and suffering, which is commonly mistaken for love.
