Bam is no godfather of HipHop. He was a popular figure during the late 70s due to his affiliation with the Black Spades gang. During the emergence of HipHop white reporters descended upon the Bronx looking for a lead figure and name for what was taking place. Bam told them that it was called HipHop which was a pejorative term used by Black American adults to describe the Black American youth movement. He's a early pioneer and child molester. But he didn't create HipHop. HipHop was created by Black Americans.
