Join me, Nic, in this recorded live stream (Episode 293 of Unhindered by Coding) as I take my first proper steps into Manim, the powerful animation engine, with the goal of creating evolutionary computation visualizations.

In this session, we cover:
* Setting up a fresh Manim project from scratch using `uv` for Python environment management and `basictex` for LaTeX. I also briefly explain my switch to `basictex`.
* Encountering and beginning to troubleshoot a tricky transformation issue with Manim's `VGroup` objects, particularly how setting fill colors can unintentionally affect stroke colors and object spacing.
* Discussions around Python development practices, the evolution of its tooling (especially compared to the Python 2 to 3 era), and the general process of learning and debugging a new library, with some great interaction and suggestions from the live Twitch chat.

Come along if you're interested in seeing the practical process of getting started with Manim, witnessing some live Python refactoring, and following along with real-time debugging of visual animation code.
