Uecker wasn't just a treasure to Milwaukee, he was treasured throughout Wisconsin, and in many parts of America. Uecker is a perfect example of the American Dream, a man who came out of no where and lived larger than life.

God bless Bob Uecker!

I'm really glad to see Uecker get the kind of love he has gotten.

My heart breaks. But remembering him, I can’t help but chuckle, laugh and walk away smiling for the many memories he gave us. May you truly rest in peace, Mr. Baseball.

It won't be the same. As a Milwaukee native, born and raised, still call it home. This one hurts and he will be greatly missed. Thanks Ueck.

Wisconsin kid here. Bob Uecker was the voice of my childhood. I have known his voice pretty much all of my life. Started listening to the Brewers in 1981. I never realized how great I had it. Yount, Cooper, Molitor on the field and Uecker doing the games. I took it for granted. It was grand.

“Rawlings paid me to not use their equipment “ 🤣🤣🤣. Bob was your friend; even if you never met him. Rest easy. Legends never die.

Tigers fan here. 🐅

I remember well how hard it was to lose Ernie Harwell.

My condolences to Brewer fans. This one is gonna be hard to take. The games won’t be the same without Bob but your love for the game will pull you through. ❤ ⚾️

This has been like losing a family member for me. I've listened to Bob Uecker calling Brewers games since I was a kid. Just an amazing human being who you thought would live forever. His legacy surely will. We all love you Bob. More than you'll ever know. Rest Easy Goat

I was driving in my car out in New York for a wedding when I heard him broadcast the end of the dramatic heart-breaking Brewers playoff loss to the Mets in October. I'm from Milwaukee. As bad as it was for the Brew Crew to lose that way, it was equally heart-breaking to hear Uek. He was very professional, but you could tell it hit him very hard. RIP Ueck.

A great loss!! Bob Costas and Bob Uecker were incredibly funny together!! Costas would stop by the booth when he was in Milwaukee. They'd call a few innings together as they told stories. I asked Costas about this when he was at The Red Smith Banquet. He and Uke had recently discussed this. They really were very complementary of one another. Loved listening to Uke on the radio. He brought a spirit to the broadcast. Rest in peace, Uke.

When the Brewers weren't a good team I used to tune into the broadcast just to listen to Uecker. I'm sure I'm not the only one. We've lost a true national treasure.

I’m a Yankees fan but would tune into Brewers games with radio audio just to hear Uke. Baseball is a game of personality and much of that is now lost.
