Look . Everyone needs a wood stove . Especially for this winter. Buy a used stove from the 70s or so . Use the good expensive pipes the triple wall ones. And mack shot you dont need electricity to run it. Never get a pellet stove . A good old wood stove, you can burn half your house in it if you need to.

Generally useful info… but no mention of approximate prices 💰

The stove shown requires more clearance, its needs a insert type or 40~70cm, the top fire surround will get really hot.

The speaker says that to calculate the wattage you need, multiply the height, width and length of the room, and divide by 14. She doesn't explain what that means!! How is that calculation used?

Surely, if the wattage is too high you just put less wood on? It’s a bit like saying my central heating can pump out 40degress so I’ll keep the temperature up?!

I would love a wood stove or insert that Gets so hot that the plants wilt, the dog pants, the cat’s hair falls out, and I have to run outside and throw my nighty hem up to cool off. Sigh. Give me more BTUs.

Very simplistic not really useful some installers with fit a flue liner without insulation which it may need no mention of health problem or dust problem from smaller burners also it is not practical in most cases to heat a whole house with wood. Many people of fitter wood boilers only to replace by oil.which does not really have the technical knowledge it once had 30 years ago.shame.

"Get a stove with a wattage that's too high, and you'll end up opening windows to cool it down"... No, just PUT LESS BLOODY FUEL IN THE THING. God's sake. What an utterly moronic statement 🤦‍♂
