Dear Donut,
It's a common misconception that the Brabham BT46B was banned; it wasn't ever banned. Bernie Ecclestone had to withdraw the car. Colin Chapman was especially against it, telling Ecclestone that if they had continued racing the car, everyone would have done it, and things would be crazy limitless from there on. Bernie went to Gordon Murray and explained his position, and told him that the Constructors Association was more important, and he reluctantly withdrew the car.
