Wow- on and off... 2 1/2 turns with no adjustment. I spent my career with a rigid 300, How things have changed!! solid piece of equipment.

I remember being a kid doing this on gas pipe MANUALLY with my dad in a vise off the back of our old suburban hitch. I still have the Rigid set in my garage today.

We used to thread black pipe by hand. It was a thread cutter and a handle.

Still have my pre war Rigid stock & first set 1/2" to 2" that were my grandfather's. Replaced dies in most commonly used heads. Since retiring rarely use them but take them out twice a year and spray some rust prevention in them and keep them in a heated garage.

Also 1 and a half turns on the 90 by hand means that your threads are perfect you went at least 2 times around it’s to loose it will leak.

I've been out of construction for a while. I used to thread galvanized rigid conduit. Once during a lull between job sites I sat in the shop and made rigid nipples for a week.
I would thread everything from 1 1/4" to 4" on the machine. 1" and below with a ratchet threader.

Beautiful tool. Better than the port-a-power.

That’s a nice set up I’ve hand threaded tons of rigid conduit and have been tossed by a power pony a couple times lol
