I've been such a big Volvo fan since I was a kid. If the ex30 comes onto the market without a driver display, the model is dead for me and my Volvo picture falters for me. I hate it.

Maybe it doesn’t have display behind the wheel because it has a heads up display on the wind screen?

Think it looks like a small screen in front of the steering wheel. I'm pretty sure there will be one there from what I've heard.

Lack of driver display is a no go for me 😢

I was excited for this but lack of driver display is a dealbreaker. You said it’s a design choice or a style choice but this 100% a cost savings choice to eliminate the need to create all those components for right hand drive vs left hand drive, plus how all those electronic elements speak to each other between the two displays. It’s a cynical economic choice at a driver’s expense marketed as minimalism. No one given the two options wouldn’t choose to not have a driver display. I get they gotta cost somewhere, but this ain’t it. I love small hatches and crossovers, but this is no longer in my consideration set.

It was a bad move to go for the 30 next, after the 40 Volvo should have done the 60 which sells far more in Western Europe and us

It continues to surprise me that authorities allow screens to the side, you have to take you eyes off the road to look at it. Now if Volvo has been smart and installed a HUD then it’s interesting, if they haven’t I wouldn’t bother even going for a look.

At least it has what looks like an original Volvo interior and not a reskin of a Zeekr product like the Polestar 4 is of the Zeekr001. I don't want to see that any more from Polestar or Volvo. Create your own interiors. I don't like the idea of no display in front of the driver one bit. I do like the shapes and modernized XC40 look it has.

But.... One big Tesla style screen in the middle - thats it?? No thank you, imo that is a mistake by Volvo. I have a feeling that today the trend is to go the other way, more like Genesis interiours.
Why make the driver position so boooring, where are the fun interiour stuff when you enter this car? Blääää.

The front fender round arch aren't so nice. Not fit in desing and look cheap, not an premium car.

This is not a very compelling vehicle for me to buy. It’s just an unexceptional looking car with a minimalist interior. My 2015 S60 sedan is a beautiful car, plus very enjoyable to drive. I’ll await the arrival of a fully electric model in 2025 or 2026.

Too small and totally impractical for my needs. When you get down to the launch event, perhaps you can ask the Volvo hierarchy just precisely how much longer we will have to wait for a fully electric V90/V70 equivalent.
