Oh my goodness!! What an incredible salad! My Mom made salad every night to eat with our dinner. Every night! But it was lettuce, tomato’s, cucumber, and green onions. Maybe sometime radishes. So as I started cooking, I created so many different kinds of salads and in fact, sometimes dinner guests will request the recipe. I’m definitely making this salad!

Oh Julia, you always make me hungry. I'd love to try this. I was out with a friend on Thursday and we bought peaches at a roadside stand; they were so juicy that my wrists were covered with peach juice.

I tried this today. Used a blend of beans and a combo of pea shoots and baby lettuce. It was really tasty! I bet using plums or nectarines would be good too. I would also use apples and walnuts in the fall.

Sob! Renal diet says no nuts or legumes. This sounds totally delicious!

Try Chipotle. You will find a more complex flavor while controlled the heart.

what a great salad, especially where we are with our Colorado Palisades peaches. BUT, could you or anyone suggest another appropriate bean substitute other than blackeye peas? None of us care for the texture or the taste. (not garbanzo for same reason!) Thanks so much!

I'll pass on the jalapeno. Otherwise, it sounds good.

You might want to poke those limes with a fork and put them in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds to get more juice from them. This works on all citruses.
