In the early 80's, there were 3 of us nurses in the ER who were nursing our babies. We had a large supply closet where we could pump and/or feed, and a hospital-sponsored childcare center on site. We would take turns "going to the closet" either to pump, or in one nurse's case, her husband brought their baby from home to nurse. We never missed a patient or inconvenienced our fellow nurses & there was a nice bond among us. We all survived!
