Lies of P - King of Puppets Boss Fight (No Damage Taken) & Romeo, King of Puppets / King of Puppets No Damage Boss Fight Guide No Hit / Tutorial / How To Beat King of Puppets Lies of P / Dodge Focused. Just a quick video showing the King of Puppets boss fight in the Lies of P on PC, 4k Ultra Best Graphic Settings. Details below.

Another fun fight, and not as bad as I initially thought, as most of the attacks can be easily dodged. I didn't expect the second phase either, but luckily the Romeo part doesn't have much health, and most of the attacks are very easily avoidable by dodging to the left. You can also save your stagger for when it tries to power up the scythe with flames, which quickly cancels it out. The electric baton is great for the fight too.

I'm also not sure what the intended level or scaling for this point is. I've done absolutely zero farming the entire time. All exploration has been pretty much without deaths, meaning I didn't get extra ergo from clearing enemies multiple times - although I have defeated and explored everything so far. I've bought everything from shops and wasted ergo on those, and the rest has gone into levels or weapon leveling (with a lot being wasted on the capacity stat too). Even then, damage on bosses like this feels quite high. Although looking at other videos, they seem to be the same or even higher damage than here. So I'm not sure what the intended scaling is for now, but I'm trying to keep it as naturally progressing as possible.

About Lies of P:
Lie or Die... Inspired by the familiar story of Pinocchio, Lies of P is an action Souls-like game set in the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat. Once a beautiful city, Krat has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as P, a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world filled with lies, no one can be trusted.

A lot of people saying there's luck involved in the second phase, particularly with avoiding the fire attack - but here's how to consistently approach it (the same way I did in the video). The boss can cast the fire attack at roughly half HP or below, and is pretty much guaranteed to do so when you stagger the boss. So at that point, you want to space out your heavy attacks and make sure you don't stun the boss during that time. As soon as you see it casting the fire attack animation, go for the stagger and fatal attack, this will cancel the fire attack, and allow you to do the fight safely without it. I used this approach multiple times, and it works the same every time.

Love the foreshadowing in the intro to this boss fight. Kind of makes you realize that the enemies you’re fighting aren’t so bad.

This has to be one of the best boss intros

I love the design of this boss. The emotive face, the noises, the music - it all makes it very captivating.

5:10 I love how you can actually HEAR what he's saying.

"Maybe this is what real freedom feels like. Thanks, Carlo..."

1:36 If we hadn't smacked him away, we could have avoided that entire fight!

Bruh, I'm so upset i didn't realize you could just dodge behind Romeo this whole time. Beat him first try after watching this. Was failing pretty hard on Romeo for over an hour before. Thanks for the upload. Wondering how many other bosses are susceptible to dodging behind now.

For some strange reason, I defeated him on my first attempt only to have my fiancée tell me that he appears to be one of the most difficult ones. But all the other bosses were not nearly as “easy” as this was. Heck, I even got my butt handed by the mad clown just moments before

Each time I beat a boss in this game I think I've gotten better right up until I have to fight another boss and get my ass whooped again lol

Never write anything on YouTube, but gotta write this! Just finished him with the Holy Sword +2 after about seven hours across the last three days. Used fable attacks twice, and gambled everything on one last charge attack when he just got his flame scythe out and jumped at me! It couldn’t have been any tighter!

Great intro. Love the look of the second phase and everything... but this boss tested the limits of my sanity. I don't ever wanna experience that again. I tell everybody "This is a great game, but it sucks!" I feel like that is an accurate description 😂

So what you’re telling me is that in order to beat Romeo all I had to do was dodge to the left? Man, that makes me real happy about dying to this guy so many times

This is just crazy amazing. I resorted to spam throwables at phase 2. Romeo was faster than most of the Elden Ring bosses. Although, the parry window really needs a tad big wider range. I've seen dozens comments even from "git gud" people agreeing the parry is a bit unforgiving (unlike Sekiro where it was smooth and rhythmic)

1:27 i dont know why, but the music in this specific part is just so magical and enchanting to me.

edit: the song is actually named [Coppélia-Suite: Act I - Valse] for anyone who wanted to know and was searching.

i think this is the best boss fight of any soulslike i have ever played...the hand reach out, finding out why romeo reached out his hand later in the story, the atmosphere, the stakes, the cause of beating him, the challenge. The custscene of how its clearly gepetto making YOU with the irony being no matter how hard the genius tries we are all puppets (slaves to someone). It also foreshadows you facing the nameless puppet....

its the perfect boss i think.
